US Ambassador Yuri Kim reacted after the meeting she had with the head of the Parliamentary Group of the Democratic Party in the Presidency of the Assembly. What stands out in the post of the American chief diplomat on her Twitter account, is that she refers to Alibeaj as the commanding chairman of the Democratic Party.

So she did not meet Alibeaj in the capacity of the head of the Parliamentary Group but continues to recognize him as the commanding chairman of the DP after the resignation of Lulzim Basha.
The ambassador announces that they discussed a number of issues with Enkelejd Alibeaj. While adding that the US has a strong and special relationship with the Democratic Party.
